• House hunting continues. We’re zero for two on offers. This was a quieter week viewings-wise, but I imagine it’ll pick up tomorrow at the start of the month.
  • According to my Garmin, I’ve been having these afternoon stress spikes lately and through The Scientific Process I’ve narrowed down the culprit to … peanut butter. I usually add it to my lunch, and it digests into increased heart rate variability.
  • Two yoga classes, one with a fast flow, which confused both my brain and body. Proud of myself for going, though!
  • Reading
    • Finished Organizing Solutions for People with ADHD. This book won’t prevent my slob tendencies, but it’s giving me ideas for how to mitigate them. Open, stackable storage units! I didn’t know these even existed. And I’ve been leaving drawers open all this time like a chump.
    • Started Kill It With Fire. Based on the title, I thought it was gonna be all about how terrible legacy software systems are and how you should retire them ASAP, but it seems to be more about how to make the most of them and maybe even get them to a state where you don’t have to retire them. I get perverse pleasure out of modernizing crappy code bases, so I’m looking forward to this!
  • Watched
    • Constellation S1E2. Getting better! And I appreciate the reduced number of jump scares.
    • The Vow S1E1-4. Missed it when it came out. C and I have recently listened to the excellent Escaping NXIVM podcast and have been going through the back catalog of A Little Bit Culty. This made the show even better, I think, since I now had faces for all the voices.
    • Gordon Ramsey: Uncharted S1E5 (Laos) and E6. Finished S1. Somehow I don’t get bored of the same formula in every episode. Onto season 2!
  • I enjoyed these sad sappy songs too: TALK – Run Away to Mars + Arlo McKinley – Stealing Dark from the Night Sky
